Wednesday, July 27th, 2011The ‘Proteus II’ ‘Live Steam’ Model Turbine for Radio Control is a single stage, self starting, steam turbine, with opposing De Laval type steam acceleration nozzles for forwards and reverse operation, suitable for model boats and model ship installations. It is finished in light grey with blue base and polished fittings. The steam turbine is equipped with a fully variable clockwise and anti-clockwise speed control throttle and servo control arm. The unit is designed for radio control with fully variable forward and reverse rotation, it makes a sensational, ultra realistic steam turbine sound and is extremely powerful with sufficient torque to easily run a single 100mm (4″) diameter propeller or run up to 4 smaller 37mm (1.5″) diameter propellers, making this turbine a superb drive choice for your WWII cruiser or battleship. Forward rotation is anti-clockwise and reverse rotation is clockwise.
